Privacy Policy

Site2Corp (site2corp.com) is a recruitment news site for Kenya. This page explains what information we collect when you visit, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

We don’t ask you to register, and we don’t take job applications. The information we hold comes from three places.

Comments. If you leave a comment, we store the name, email address and message you enter, plus your IP address. Your email is never shown publicly.

Server logs. Like any website, our server records your IP address, browser type, the pages you open and the time. We use this to keep the site running and to spot abuse.

Cookies and advertising. We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to serve ads and measure how they perform. They may use your browsing history to choose ads that fit your interests. We don’t get access to those cookies and we don’t see who you are.

[If you use Google Analytics or another analytics tool, add one sentence here saying so. If you don’t, delete this line.]

How we use it

Comments are used to run the discussion under each post and to reply to you. Logs are used for security and troubleshooting. Advertising cookies help pay for the site, which is free to read. We don’t sell your information and we don’t send marketing email.

Your choices on ads

You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), or opt out of many ad networks at once through aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, but you may see more generic ads.

Names and ID numbers in shortlist posts

Some of our posts republish shortlists that employers have already made public, and these can include candidates’ names and national ID numbers. If your details appear on a page here and you want them removed or partly hidden, email us with the link and we will do it. You don’t need to give a reason.

Links to other sites

Our posts link to employer portals, government sites and other third parties. They have their own privacy practices and we don’t control them. Read their policies before you enter personal details, especially national ID numbers and CVs.

How long we keep things

Comments stay until you ask us to delete them or we remove the post. Server logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider.

Children

The site is written for adults looking for work. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Your rights

Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email us and we’ll reply. If you’re not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya.

Changes

If we change this policy, the date at the top changes with it.
