Overview of NYS Recruitment 2024/2025

Kenya National Youth Service is a programme set aside to recruit and train eligible youths of the country to ensure they acquire necessary skills to harness the manufacturing sector.

The programme was restructured by H.E. President Uhuru in 2014 with a 5-point vision which includes Paramilitary Training and Service Regimentation, National Service and Youth Re-socialization, Vocational Training & Social Transformation, Enterprise & Youth Economy and Bankable Institutional Architecture.

At this juncture, a very important question of who is eligible to apply emerges. Note: NYS recruitment shall be conducted across the 47 counties of Kenya.

Eligibility Criteria

The National Youth Service (NYS) recruitment application form is open and visible to all interested persons so long you’re from Kenya. There is no county that is restricted from applying meanwhile if is also important you pay close attention to the requirements if you must succeed.

Requirements for NYS Recruitment 2024/2025

In as much as there are not restriction, there are criteria you must attain in other to become eligible for employment into Kenya National Youth Service.

First is that, candidates applying must be a Kenya citizen with legal means of identification including National ID card, international passport an driver’s license.

Next is that you need at least a plain D+ in KCSE which should include English or Kiswahili languages.

Candidates applying must be between the ages of 18 to 24 years. Candidates are to bear in mind that they would undergo a compulsory six (6) months of paramilitary training.

Another important thing is that you must possess an excellence communication, interpersonal, analytical and reporting skill. Ensure you fill and submit the job application form on time.
